Why the bizarre title? Well, in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022, the Marlins had a terrible record. In each year, they lost at least 93 games. In 2020, during the COVID-shortened season, they finished 31 and 29, but otherwise, they haven't finished above .500 since 2009. That is a long period of poor performance. This is a franchise that got off to a relatively fast start during its existence, but it has struggled lately. The team has a new manager this year: Skip Schumaker. The team has gotten off to a decent start with a 12-9 record, but there's a long way to go. I predict another bad year for the the fish!
